X41 PC-5300 memory

#1 Post by scosgt1 » Tue Sep 11, 2007 6:39 pm

I know this is the wrong place to post this, but I need a quick answer:
Am I correct that an X41 can use PC-5300 memory? The IBM memory chart shows PC-4200, but the Crucial site says they sell PC-5300 for the X41. I have some PC-5300, IBM branded, that I want to supply with this system, but it is a sealed box so I can't test it.

Anyone?

Bruce, any Thinkpad that calls for PC-4200 can run PC-5300 instead. .e.g. I have 2 x 1GB Crucial PC-5300 in my R52 which calls for PC-4200.
