SOLD!2 flawless T4x SXGA+ machines, warranty,SOLD!
Rarely do I ask for help when it comes to pricing, but I've been beating my head against the wall on these two for the last 48 hours, and haven't come up with definite answers, so here we go:
With a little help from my friends, as immortal Beatles would have it, the prices have now been formed. Thanks to everyone who has participated...
1) ThinkPad T41 2373-9FU - pending sale
Original description: P M 1.7GHz, 512MB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm HDD, 14.1 SXGA+(1400X1050) TFT LCD, 32MB ATI Radeon 9000, 16x10x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, 802.11a/b/g wireless(MPCI), Bluetooth/Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip(TCPA), 6 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro
This belongs to a friend of mine who happens to be very uncomfortable about selling stuff. He is the original owner. Machine comes upgraded to 1Gb (2x512) RAM, original box, restore disks and on-site warranty until July 25th, 2008. Condition is 9.999 out of 10. If this laptop has seen more than 200 hours of use altogether, that's a lot. Pictures shall be available by the end of this weekend. Think new out-of-the-box, or extremely (and I mean EXTREMELY) close to it.
Asking $550 firm plus reasonable shipping.
2) ThinkPad T43 2668-46U SOLD SOLD SOLD
Original description: P M 750(1.86GHz), 512MB RAM, 40GB 5400rpm HD, 14.1in 1400x1050 TFT LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon X300, CDRW/DVD, Intel 802.11bg wireless(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, 6c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro
This one I've actually gotten for my wife, but she expressed a strong dislike for the keyboard, and I don't argue when it comes to stuff like that, because I'm pretty much the same way. Upgraded to 1Gb (2x512) RAM, and ThinkPlus on-site warranty until mid-March of 2009. Apart from an A31P that I've bought new from IBM years ago, I've NEVER had a better looking machine, and I'm being perfectly serious. The extent of wear is that it's missing the ATi sticker on the palmrest, and has some very superficial scratching on the RAM cover. 9.95 out of 10.
Asking $635 OVNO plus reasonable shipping. My usual free shipping offer if you choose NOT to use PayPal applies to this machine.
Please no lowballing on either of these fine ThinkPads...
T41 must be sold. For T43 I might be interested in a trade up or down. International inquiries are welcome.
Feel free to PM for pictures, or with any questions/concerns that you might have.

For the T41 I could see paying an even $650 + shipping. The warranty alone should add an extra $100 to the price and the warranty can be extended from what I understand.
I do not know about the T43 but with 2 years warranty and the condition it's in I could see more then $800 for it.
Just my 2 cents.

This is tough for sure. Those are two unique machines.
The T41 is nearly a T41p - only the video and battery size differ. T41p's have been selling for over $500 in very good or better condition. Your T41 is mint and has eight months of warranty remaining. To the right person, I'd say $600.
The T43 is a little more mainstream, but the condition and 18 month warranty are bonuses. I'd say $725.
The real issue is that new machines are frequently on sale at Lenovo for great prices. Plus, used T42's are priced very well now.
Two great machines, you need to particular buyers.

As a previous owner of two machines with the same type numbers, I can testify that they are some of the best Thinkpads that I have ever used.
[SNIPPED]
Good luck with the sales George.

T43 has been sold.
I'm still awaiting for the confirmation that the payment for T41 has cleared. Upon receiving it, I'll update the post and ask for it to be locked.
The T41 has been sold as well. This thread can be locked.
