Almost brand new IBM Thinkpad DVD-Rom drive pulled from an IBM T-30 for sale.
PN: 27L4355
Its an 8x DVD and should fit any Ultrabay 2000 compatible Pc's
It was replaced by a CD-RW/DVD drive immediately after purchase.
soft-side CD-ROM carry case included

$30 shipped in the continental US. (will ship to AK and HI, but it might be a few dollars more.)
I have a few of these, if you want more than one, the additional ones will be a few bucks cheaper (since they'll be shipped in one package)

Can you turn it over and see who the maker of it is? Sony, Toshiba, Matshita, or Hitachi (HL?)? Also, the part number. IE: If Matshita (Panasonic), it could be UJ-712, ect.

I want to know it I can flash it to be reagion free before comitting to it, and I can tell by what you tell me.

It is an "H-L data storage drive"
Model GDR-8081N

which one(s) can be flashed to be region free?

Excellent drive! Yes, it can be made region free, but I prefer the utility that resets the Regions (usually you can only change it 4 times, then your stuck) forever. Check this out:

If you have the plastic brackets or "bezel" or adapter on it for Ultrabay2000, I'll take it!

That's really too bad....really need the bezel, otherwise I'll keep my Multiburner in my T30.

Does anyone know where to buy these bezels? I've looked long and hard for them.
