Hey,
You've got some very nice stuff there...congrats!
I'm going to speak from two points of view, as a reseller, and as an end user.
T42P, for an end user looking for a high-end UXGA should be worth anywhere between $850 and $950. The machine sounds great, the only downsides are new Lenovo products at bargain basement prices, and the fact that there are quite a few of them on the market right now...I'd be patient and stick to my guns if it were my machine.
T43 is a whole different ballgame. Out of all fairly recent ThinkPads, I've found them the most difficult ones to sell. I guess that they've just gotten way too much bad publicity, although I personally happen to like them, especially with the processor that you have in it. Flexview is a huge plus, but video card is the most basic one for a T43, leading to a somewhat confusing picture. If this were my machine, I'd be looking for anywhere between $750 and $800, for the sake of warranty alone, but would allow (not in public though) first $700 OVNO to take it...although I'd probably end up keeping it. These are very fine machines that are a pain to sell in most cases.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck with the sale.

I'm falling in love with these two machines, its going to break my heart to sell them !
BTW, I noticed that these two 15 inchers seem more rugged than the 14" T4x's I've handled. Lid is very rigid. No distortion on screen when I press the lid.

That's why you had to give a kidney to get one when they were new...take it from someone who has been crazy enough to buy a new A31P years ago...there is something about 15" FlexViews that just grows on you...and they are made really well, when compared to other units of the same generation...

BTW, what is OVNO ?
And how much did you pay for the new A31P ??

Or very near offer, perhaps? George's price estimations seem fair - both machines have excellent warranty remaining.
And I'll third what you guys have said about the 15" Flexviews - such a joy to use and more secure feeling than a 14" T4x!

Our friend Kristian, who still lives under Her Majesty's rule (at least theoretically) like I used to a couple of decades ago, got it right, of course: OVNO=Or Very Near Offer, expression common in UK English, but not around here.
As for the price of a new A31P, I believe I still have the invoice somewhere, but off the top of my head it was in the neighbourhood of $4,000....
Bump for a
hawt machine and a cool seller!

It's not as common in Australia - we often drop the V and just have ONO (N = near or nearest). And yes, it's pretty much theoretically

Why oh why are you selling all your u/sxga+ thinkpads, wearetheborg??? You my friend went through the gates of T series heaven, yet turned around & shunned the gods therefrom! Thou shall be banished into dell forever!
Ok, that was too dramatic I think.
Well, good luck on the sale of this awesome laptop!
PS. You know...I think I could've gotten this one...

Have faith my friend, I'm not selling ALL my thinkpads. My current one is a R50P with a flexview UXGA screen.
I think you might also like the T43 I'm selling - 1.86Ghz, 1GB ram, 64MB ATI Radeon X300, SXGA+ flexview screen, Onsite warranty till Nov 15 2009 for $735. As I'm in bay area right now, you could even come over and do it face to face

Hey I could have been interested IF you hadn't told me beforehand how much it costed you! That was the same laptop right? Could have been torture on me!
But anyway, I got a T43p bought locally for a very good price!
