Your "unknown" HDD cover is for the 600 series ThinkPads...

Since I looked it up .... 2nd Hard Drive adapter FRU P/N 08K6067 (IBM UltraBay 2000 series adapter) will fit -
- ALL A2x and A3x series
- ALL T2x series and T30
- ALL R3x and R4x series
- Ultrabase X2 (X20,X21,X22,X23,X24)
- Ultrabase X3 (X30, X31. X32)
- ThinkPad II Port Replicator and possibly others...
Will NOT fit 600 series, or the 570 Ultrabase, or any other older models.
Will NOT fit T40 and later models, G40 on, and R50 on or any newer (X4) media drives.
