WTT/WTB: 14" T42p or T42

I have a 15" T42 2373-JXU. 15" SXGA+, 80GB 5400rpm (upgraded), 1GB (2x512), Bluetooth, Combo Drive, Radeon 9600, warranty till this november. some scratches on the lid but the machine functions 100%. brand new keyboard being installed this week.

i'm looking for a 14" SXGA+ model, preferably a T42p. I may even entertain the T43/T43p. The laptop must have a working parallel port. DVD writer would be nice, warranty would be nice. let me know what you have.

I'm finding the 15" model just too big to lug around. I will buy outright, or trade or trade + cash.

Just want to warn you that there will be a huge drop in screen quality if you go to a 14" model. The one you have has a flexview screen.

Just out of interest, is there any disadvantage in using the X40 in your sig as your lug around machine? Of course, it's possible that you need the 14" screen size, but if I were in your situation (and I have moved from a 14" T40 to a 15" T42 not unlike yours...) I'd consider whether the X40 would do the work you need a portable machine to do before letting your current 15" go.

That said, you may do well to PM fox_napier - things got a bit sidetracked in terms of other members' postings and that's why the thread got locked. Laptop's still available, I think.
