Asking Price: $400 (shipped)

First of all, the computer has been out of warranty since June. It also just started developing the "screen corruption" issue when moved around (sadly forced me to get a t60p/15" :-) ). Resetting the computer fixes the problem, and it works just fine for hours / days if not moved. Everything else is in great condition. Specs:

2.0 GHz processor (upgraded from original)
2.0 GB DDR Ram (upgraded from original)
100GB 7200 RPM HD (upgraded from original)
128MB FireGL T2
14.1" 1400x1050 Screen
DVD 2x multiburner DVD+-R/RW/RAM (upgraded from original)
9 Cell battery (2nd hand brand, but only 4 months old)
Wireless A/B/G (upgraded from original)
Bluetooth

Also comes with the original restore CDs (they've been reloaded onto the laptop) and a 14" laptop sleeve. The power adapter has tape on it but works perfectly. Though I don't have any posts on here, I've posted for years on many other computer forums under the same name, have heatware under mad3d, and ebay under mad3d2002. You can either PM me or reach me by email at mdickers -at- gmail.com.

I'm open to offers on price.

Edit: Price Dropped

It is a well known issue with the motherboard - http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... corruption Cold joint solder problem.

oh yes. that problem. that's what i was afraid of. hoping it wasn't a mainboard problem. I had that problem with my T42 already, but there was still warranty so motherboard was replaced.

too bad becuase your T42p was otherwise exactly what i'm after.

Yeah...I knew this would happen when the warranty extension period expired...it would break if I didn't get it and be fine if I did!
