Does anyone have the following screws in their Thinkpad junk box?
2 Pcs. M2.6 x 2.8mm (Display cable connection A2x)
1 Pc. M2.5 x 15mm (Keyboard Bezel connection A2x)
1 Pc. M2 × 3 mm, pan-head (Display hinge connection T40)
If so, and if you can spare them, I could certainly use them in my work on an A20p and a T40.

Bob, does this mean that you've actually gotten that A20P up from the dead as a birthday gift for yourself? Let us know. I'm cheering for your success from a 7,000 mile distance...
All the best.

Thanks for the cheers, and I wish it were so, George, but at the moment I'm just trying to replace the missing screws in the beast. The fact that the display connector is not screwed down on the sub card might explain the dark LCD display, but not the lack of an external signal nor the lack of beep signals. So I'm still working on it...

Still no concrete offers. I'd be happy even to get offers on similar screws, such as:
In the 760EL, there's a M2.6 x 3mm screw holding down the bezel for the optical drive in the front on the left side.
In the Thinkpad 770, there are three M2.5 x 3mm screws for the graphics card.
And in the T2x series, there are three M2.5 x 3,5mm screws holding the keyboard bezel in the front.
There's also a M2.5 x 14mm screw (upper side left, also keyboard bezel) that could work instead of the 15mm one.
I'd be glad to get anything that's even halfway close to what I need.

Check out eBay seller Wibony for screw sets. Just paid $7.50 for a complete set of T2X screws. He also carries nameplates, screw covers, hard drive caddies and logo stickers.
Seller is in China, but shipping was very fast, and the screws look new. His prices aren't too crazy either.

Sorry, losmeme... Wibony has no screws for the A2x series, and unfortunately the screws for every model are different in diameter or length. Now who could find any fault with that?

The company at
www.rsonline.de has some you may find useful.
Take a look at these articles
560-546 M2 x 12 mm 2.25 ECU
560-574 M2.5 x 20 mm 2.25 ECU
the prices are for a bag with 100 screws.
These are blank screews, whereas the ones normally used in ThinkPads are most often black ones.
They have many others, I just quickly picked some that I belive will fit.
Buy the longest ones and cut them down to the length you need.

Thanks for the tip. I had looked for this kind of thing too, but frankly haven't been able to believe that nobody has a few screws floating around in their junk box. Guess I have to now.
I originally thought it would be a simple matter to replace only four screws, but it's turning out to be a major affair and I may just forget it and use the computer I bought - an A20p for EUR 60 - as a parts donor when and if I need such parts.
