Found out the hard way that these won't work on an R31 when I bought one on ebay awhile ago. Just a heads up.

Yes, they will work in an R31.
Maybe you had a problem with your R31 or the battery. Were you running the Power Management/Battery Maximizer programs?

Hi, I have a mini USB2.0 external 20G HD. Aluminum enclosure with Toshiba 1.8" 20G hd. Do you willing to trade me 2Xbatteries for the mini portable HD? I am in Canada.
Thanks.

Hello, Mazzinia. Hope everything is going well for you.
You asked whether it would work in an X3 Ultrabase.
I don't know the answer to that, but I do know it won't work with an X2 Media Slice.
Hope that helps

A good resource (as far as I know) for Ultrabay related queries is this:
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/UltraBay
The X2 media slice is Ultrabay 2000. The x3 media slice is Ultrabay Plus, which is compatible with Ultrabay 2000. Therefore, it should work.

Yes, Ultrabay 2000 batteries work with the X31 and a Media Slice. I have an X31.
With an extra full battery in the base and an Ultrabay battery, I get close to 11 hours of battery time. The computer feels like it weighs 50 pounds, but the battery time is amazing.
Ray, thanks for the link to ThinkWiki, that is a MUCH better grid of Ultrabay differences than the one on WikiPedia

Thanks to all for the data (especially that all 3 batteries can be used at the same time).
I guess now I've a some questions for the seller:
- would you ship internationally?
- if so, how much would be the cost to Italy
- would you accept CC paypal if I add the % to cover the extra fees?
