For Sale: A30p, model 2653-65U.

Overall the computer is a 7 out of 10. A lot of the keyboard keys are shiny. The screen case has a barely noticeable 1" crack in the lower corner by the left hinge, and usual scratches. The screen has a couple light scratches, a few dead pixels, and some weird light pressure marks in the lower right. These are all only really noticable on a white or light color screen, I watched a couple movies on it earlier and they didn't bother me. But as an anal-retentive obssessive-compulsive perfectionist, I can't put up with them. The backlight was replaced by an eBay seller I purchased it from.

Has a Windows XP Pro COA on the bottom, I installed Windows and downloaded all the updates, and downloaded everything System Installer could find from IBM/Lenovo. I also updated the embedded controller and BIOS to the latest versions.

PIII-M 1.2GHz
128MB RAM
20GB HDD
15.0 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD
24X CD-ROM drive
802.11b wireless (MPCI)
Modem (MPCI)
Ethernet (CDC)
TV-out
Floppy drive
Original IBM AC Adapter
Li-Ion battery, will charge up to 97%, doesn't last long though

Overall it's a nice working system, that already has a few scratches so you don't have to feel guilty about taking somewhere.

As-is, no warranty or tech support. Lower 48 only. $260 shipped, Paypal only.

Still for sale, same price, with the following upgrades:

-added 512MB RAM (both are original IBM), for a total of 640MB
-replaced 20GB 4200rpm hard drive with 60GB 7200rpm hard drive
-replaced original wireless adapter with Intel 2200BG and modem daughter card (so it now has 802.11g with WPA encryption and still has a modem)
-replaced shiny keys keyboard with one that almost looks new

Also, will NOT part out, don't ask.

I would have posted pics but I don't have a camera. I have a webcam but it's pretty blurry. If you want blurry, crappy pics I can send plenty of those. I could also post a video of it booting up, etc.

This is, regardless of noted deficiences, as cheap as any working machine with FlexView UXGA screen will come, especially in this "upgraded" configuration. Not to mention wi-fi.

Anyone with a desire to test these waters without breaking the piggy bank should act, and promptly so.

What the hell, this is only $260 shipped???!!! The 512MB PC133 alone is worth $50, and the 60GB 7200rpm HDD another $45. I wish I didn't already have so very many laptops so that I could buy this!

Yeah I paid $40 for the RAM, $45 for the hard drive, and $20 for the 2200BG. I upgraded my A31p (again) so I moved the hard drive and wireless card over from it to the A30p.

also, *SOLD*
