Whats a good price for a 1.83Ghz T60?

#1 Post by skygodtj » Thu Oct 11, 2007 11:05 am

I'm looking for a 'gaming' replacement for my 2GHz T40.. Not really intense gaming, just Call of Duty/Medal of Honor/Half Life... Something with a little more than 32mb Video RAM and preferably dedicated card.. whats a good price for a T60 with 1.83ghz Core Duo T2400 CPU, 60GB HD and 2GB RAM? I found one for $675..
Thanks

TJ

Interesting...

What would be a good price for this machine...I've been using it at a client's office and they have offered to sell it to me but have not named a price?

T60 1.83 GHz, Core2 Duo T5600 2613-CTO
60 GB SATA HDD
SXGA Flexview 1400x1050 15"
ATI RADEON X1300
2GB RAM installed, 1 DIMM
Bluetooth, Intel Wireless, Fingerprint reader and security chip
Purchased in 5/2007 with 3 years warranty + ThinkPad "Protection" plan

Input would be appreciated...I want to claim ownership if possible :-)

There is a difference between a good price and a fair price.

I'm going to say $650 or so is a fair price. Below that is a good price.

The real issues are that now 1) Lenovo is having constant sales on new machines, so new T61's have sold lately around $750, and 2) Lenovo is selling one-off machines for great prices, some T60 & T61's have gone for as little as $600 -> http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/cont ... t/T-Series

Basically, prices are all over the place. That machine sounds very nice and is very well spec'd. I'd just compare it to a new or outlet machine prior to buying. Good luck.

I tried to buy a one of the flexview screens at the outlet yesterday but no luck. Do you know if any of these machines are still available?
