For out of the US buyers - Access USA

I don't know much about them, but I sold a ThinkPad on Ebay, and it turned out (unknown to me) that the buyer was in Romania. I get the PayPal from this outfit in Florida, with a confirmed address. I called PayPal, and they told me that the transaction was indeed eligable for Seller Protection as long as I ship to the confirmed address.
So, no endorsements, and of course the buyer has to join and pay fees, but IF this is legimate, it would be a way for non-US buyers to safely buy here.
(As you know, I won't ship out of the US. But this may solve that problem for those willing to pay the freight).

... an alternative is "Capital Express Mail"...
I have come across simlar companies from time to time, and one alternative I remember seeing is: Capital Express Mail - I haven't had contact with any of these companies.
Perhaps this both easy and safe, very simple and convenient method of overseas selling/shipment could lead to, say, "someone"
to change their mind(s) about doing business with all the many foreign ThinkPad'ders...? Everybody are hereby kindly invited to consider this absolutely fantastic suggestion!
PS: For domestic USA-shipping, the site PackBuddy seems interesting?

The thing is, for a seller, that is NOT doing business with someone from out of the US

I used to shop in USA for the past 10 over years and has been an ebayer since 1998.
But recently in early 2007, most ebayer refuse to clear payment from paypal, credit card if the address registered to the cc is NOT USA address.
In Singapore, we have a service vpost.com.sg/USA which is a shipping forwarder. Using that service I have 2 US address, one in California and one in Oregon.
But the problem now is not a lack of US address, it is a lack of payment means

Try Access USA

You pay them, they have their own PayPal account.
I would up taking a payment from them, I did signature confirmation and printed out a copy of the delivery signature, so far PayPal says it is covered.

$20 for setup,
$60 for one year of membership
$24.50 for first kg, $1.10 for subsequent 100g,
$8 for the commercial invoice
$10 for the service of paying for us
A bit too much for if one don't use the service often. B-)
