Hey there.
About that A3x series lid for the LCD. You say it's for the 14" LCD.
Is there a diffrent one for the A3x 15" laptops?
I buddy of mine has an A31 with 15" XGA lcd. The LCD cover lid(what the lcd fit's into) is cracked up in the corner. He droped the laptop and the lcd is only held up by one side now.

If that one dont fit the A3x 15" lcd's would you know for one?
Thanks
Bill

Bill,

To the best of my knowledge and belief, the lids are the same. However, there is a difference between wireless and non-wireless ones, not only in antennas (or lack thereof) but also in size...this has been brought to my attention by a fellow forum member who got stuck exchanging these...

I'll do some further research and let you know.

EDIT:

The FRUs are different...and there are more of them than I've been aware of...apologies.

I had a T30 and the port replicator that I had for it would not fit my T40 at all! :?:
Is the port replicator II somehow backwards compatible with both, while the T30 replicator is not compatible with the T40?

You've probably had a PR 1...PR2 actually gives you pictures on how to fit it on T4/R5(one picture) and X3/T3/R4/A3 (second picture)...so, yes it is backward compatible if that's what you choose to call it... :D
