Hi guys,
Here are some news:
Last week I sold this T43p on ebay but the buyer requested return. Here is what happened:
The ebay buyer found 2 bad pixels on the screen that I never noticed before(I used the Nokia screen test to check the screen and found it's perfect. That's why I said the screen is beautiful). I guess this problem happened during the shipping. They are close to the middle of the left edge.
And be aware that the OS system partition has been deleted by me right after I got the laptop. So no hidden paritition. But the Authentic Windows XP Professional COA and XP pro OS will be provided.
I issued a full refund.
I lowered the price to $770 + $30 including insurance due to the new found 2 bad pixels.
The shipping applies to U.S. buyers within the 48 states.
If you are oversea buyer, shipping will be more. Contact with me and I will calculate it by UPS online store.
For all buyers, if you pay by paypal, please add 3% for the paypal transaction fee. And your address must be confirmed.
For oversea buyers, the best payment method I hope is wire transfer. But paypal is fine too.
If you are local, perfect! Pick-up is strongly welcomed! CASH ONLY!
Here is the specification:
PM770 2.13G
2G ddr533 RAM
60G 7200RPM HDD
14'' SXGA+
DVD/CDRW combo
Bluetooth
802.11 a/b/g
9cell+6cell two batteries
Warranty until Jan/2009
PM me please.

BUMP............

Seems like it's a good machine you have on offer. Friendly note though that bumps are only permitted every 72 hours unless you're lowering the price.

Does the T43 have the graphics chip problem that the early T4x series had?

I think it has the same 128 mb video card that the t42p has

Actually, it has the upgraded version of the card from lower "p" models (T41p,T42p,R50p) and is NOT known for having the aforementioned issues.

Some members from Europe shoot me some PMs for buying.
Just curious, which way of payment method is safe for me?
Wire transfer? Or cashier check?
I don't think paypal will do....since it only protects buyers...

Wire transfer is your best bet...that's the way I sell to Europe 95% of the time, and I sell over there a lot...
International Money Order is also nothing to sneeze at. You can accept PayPal from UK and Canada, too, as long as the buyer has a confirmed address.
If any of the above is a problem for your buyer, an escrow (for a fee) through Mr. Morrow can be worked out, as far as I know.
Hope this helps. Good luck with the sale.

This spring I bought a T42p via this Marketplace (-->
this one). The seller was
noetus who was
outstanding (yes, actually
extremely - I simply cannot emphasize this enough!)
helpful in each and every respect and also completely and absolutely trustworthy to the absolute extent possible; an absolute first-class seller. This impression made the deal a completely pleasant affair, certainly for me, and also I hope for the seller. And why was this? Because of the openness, honesty and friendly environment this deal was conducted in.
So, why am I pointing out this? Because I wish to say that if a deal is conducted in this spirit (which is so typical for this Marketplace!), then the seller in my opinion need not concern at all about the specific payment method. The seller has previously very, very clearly specified all details of the (in this case) ThinkPad for sale, and the seller has even provided an extra service - such as you do! - by showing photos of the item, so why should there be any "risk" that the buyer would cheat the seller under these circumstances... when the seller (such as you!) simply offer all this superb service prior to the sale?
Back then, I first transferred an initial "I-want-to-buy-your-ThinkPad" payment via PayPal ($500), and then subsequently the remaining part via a bank transfer... the fee for the latter was some $10-15, which are peanuts in this case.
Bottom line: If you agree with me in the above, you may use whatever payment method... when a trust between seller and buyer has been established so fine as this Marketplace opens possibility for, then payment need not cause any concern.
Now that this item has been pending a full month for sale and you have interest from "over here", then I'd surely say: Sell to an European - he/she will he happy!
... so good luck with the sale!
Best regards,
Johan

We should always be cautious no matter where the sale is: be it in Europe or here in the states.
That being said, I have had nothing but pleasant selling/buying experiences here at this wonderful forum - both local and international sales. That doesn't mean that we will never have problems - there are always bad apples in a bunch - but this forum has a tremendous number of professional and courteous people.
I have no qualms selling overseas - shipping is only slightly higher in many countries. But ask around as there are some countries that are difficult to mail to.

I have lost $1500 for my first X60 selling. Before that, I trusted every buyer. Now, I need to protect myself during the business.
