There's a guy selling PIII 800MHz MMC-2 modules on eBay for $45!

I don't know how many he has, but I've already bought 6 of them and he's still putting more up for sale as I type this.

These will work in many Thinkpads, particularly the 600X.

will these work in a thinkpad 600?
current proc. is a pentium 2 233mhz if so how will this affect the heatsink and fan that's present.

No, absolutely not. 600s and 600Es are limited to the PII 400MHz MMC modules in MMC-1 and MMC-2 respectively.

It will work with 600X since it originally came with PIII. I don't think the fan would be a problem. It should handle it.

I wound up getting an even dozen of them, have already sold a few (obviously for more than $45!), then used 5 to upgrade some 600Xs which I sold, so I'm to the point where I'm hoarding the remaining ones.
