SOLD!hi-end A31P #1, FlexView, Btooth,wi-fi, ship worldwide

#1 Post by ajkula66 » Wed Oct 24, 2007 5:59 am

As much as I hate to see any of them go, my collection of A31Ps simply MUST be reduced to a more sensible level...it is a sin that some of them have been sitting and doing nothing for quite a while, just playing the unpopular role of "backup to the backup one"...this nonsense has to stop, and I'll be offering these still very fine machines here first. Anyone looking for a ticket to the most unusual world of three-spindle/UXGA FlexView combination should take note...

ThinkPad A31p 2653-R5U

Original description:
P4-M 2.0GHz(512KB)
256MB RAM................upgraded to 1Gb (2x512)
60.0GB HDD.................upgraded to 60Gb/7200rpm
15.0 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD,
16x10x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD,
Wi-Fi wireless/Modem(MPCI),
Ethernet(CDC),
IEEE 1394,
IBM Secure Chip(TCPA),
Bluetooth(CDC),
TV out,
Li-Ion battery,
WinXP Pro..............copies of restore disks included

This machine is somewhere between 8 and 9 on a 1-10 scale when it comes to physical condition. There are some scratches/scuffs on the lid, and the LCD bezel is cracked. Apart from that, just normal wear and tear, nothing out of the ordinary. All in all, this is still a VERY presentable ThinkPad.

I am listing the machine in its present shape and form. If you are looking to upgrade/downgrade/barebone, there is enough parts in my workroom to re-configure it to almost any specs.

Reasonable trade offers, up or down, are welcome.

Asking $485 plus reasonable shipping depending on where you are. As most of you know, I do ship worldwide and accept most payment methods. My usual offer of free shipping to lower 48 states if you choose NOT to use PayPal applies.

Please email me with requests for pictures (should be available shortly), or with any questions/concerns that you might have, since PMs do not seem to be working properly at the moment.

Having been introduced to the world of the A31p on Monday (and typing this post on it), I can certainly vouch for the fact that it is a fine piece of IBM machinery, and am proud to have one take its place in my stable of laptops. I find it surprisingly light for its size. And you can guarantee that since it's coming from the stable of the resident A31p expert, it's well worth the asking price.
