hey everyone,
i bought a t30 a few months ago, second hand. it's been working fine with the install of xp pro that was on there.
i was wondering whether anyone could send me a disk image or a copy in the post of the recovery cd by ibm for xp pro, as the last owner appears to have deleted the recovery partition on the hard drive...
thanks in advance,
alex

i realise that nobody will actually have them and the views that have been going up on this are probs just people trying to see if i have the recovery disk xD
i'll just say that i've managed to get a windows xp disk and patch it with a few ibm files from the uncomplete i386 folder that was on my t30's hard drive. it's installing at the moment, and almost complete so i'll tell everyone whether it works properly in a bit!
(should be preactivation and stuff!)
if it works and anyone would like a copy pm me, and i'll see what i can do although it might take a while.

well it works, and it's non-service packed at all. it wasn't activated when installed and gave me the normal oem-30-day thing, although i just tried to activate over the internet and it worked! thought i was going to have to have a long phone conversation with someone about it! xD
so there..
it works!
an install cd with none of the ibm stuff...although most of the ibm stuff is quite useful so i'll be grabbing it off their site anytime soon.
not sure whether this thread is really in the right forum now, might be better placed in the t2x / t30 forum! =]
