For Sale:
Lenovo Thinkpad Slim SATA Ultra-Bay HDD adapter + Hitachi 7200 RPM / 100 GB HDD.
Both units are in excellent condition (HDD was original from my T60p Thinkpad; it's formatted to full 100 GB, single partition).
$100 plus shipping.
Located in Toronto.
Please note. USPS shipping to the U.S. can often take 3 weeks (for some reason), so this may affect arrival times. I can ship via courier, but this would be additional cost.

quick questions
a) Do you have the S/N of the drive for checking of warranty?
b) I figured the tray should fit my T61 that I should received soon.
c) Most important. Can I pay via paypal (ie payment first) and you ship to my USA ship forwarder address so that they can send to me in Singapore?
Thank you

that looks interesting, I'm interested, but would also like to know whatever information for checking of warranty (does warranty even transfer over?)
It should fit into a T61.
Also, how much do you estimate shipping to be? I live in Virginia, US.

Depends, I bought a 7k100 before from the states when it first came out. Some are one year, most are 3 years but it really depends on geography. There is a link at
Hitachi Global Storage that allows one to check.
Sigh, if only I can find some shops in US that will accept payment and ship those 7K200 100GB to me lol

Wait a minute, you live in Singapore, and can't find a Hitachi 7K200?? I found several of them for sale in Sim Lim Square back in late June when I was last there (CommunicASIA).
As to the Serial #, here it is:
11S39T2614Z1ZC5V007VZS
For those who are interested, Lenovo / Thinkpad P/N is 39T2649 (FRU)
Manufactured Date of 06-Feb-07.
Thanks,
Patrick
On edit: upon further review, that doesn't appear to be a valid S/N, but I'm not sure where a valid one may be on the drive.
It's an OEM'd drive to Lenovo, and has a Lenovo P/N / FRU # on it (sticker and all).
I can take a picture of the drive, should anyone be interested.
I'm not sure what warranties apply to parts removed from the original system??

The drives here are at least US$50 to US$100 more expensive and so are the laptops. Especially the laptops, the ones with decent specs are way too costly. After shipment plus tax, I can still save a bundle by buying from the states.
Regards your HDD, most likely warranty goes with the lenovo, if you follow the link I posted 2 messages up, it has a picture showing where to locate the S/N, once key in, most likely will say 'return to the vendor for warranty'.
But Hitachi drives, espcially the 7K100 are very good and reliable, lenovo ones are even more stringent during assemble tests.

Are you willing to sell the SATA adapter alone, or you looking to sell them together? Drop me a PM with price if you want to sell the adapter seperately.
