A presentable example of a very powerful version of this legendary ThinkPad...
ThinkPad T43 2687-DSU
Original description: P M 760(2GHz), 512MB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HDD, 14.1in 1400x1050 LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon X300, 4x DVD-R, Intel 802.11abg wireless(MPCI), Bluetooth/Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, Fingerprint Reader, 9 cell Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro
RAM has been upgraded to 1Gb (2x512Mb). It is covered under IBM/Lenovo warranty until 01/26/2009.
Known imperfections:
- Wear on the lid, more than average for a machine of this generation.
- Keyboard has quite a few shiny keys, but still has that nice and expensive ThinkPad feel when you type. This is replaceable under warranty, so if it doesn't bother you, wait until 3 days before it expires and replace it then.
I'd rate the condition of this laptop at 8.5 on a 1-10 scale, because of the aforementioned cosmetic imperfections. Apart from that, the machine is VERY fast and runs like a deer-currently under Linux and loving it.
Asking $665 plus reasonable shipping depending on your location. As most of you know, I do ship worldwide and accept most payment methods. My usual offer of free shipping to lower 48 states if you choose NOT to use PayPal applies.
Feel free to PM me for high-resolution pictures, or with any questions and/or concerns that you might have. I'll be away for the next few days and won't be online as much as I normally am, but promise to respond within 12-24 hours.
