My main lappy is a small HP tablet so I have no need for another small one. I've decided to sell it and get something a bit bigger. Here are the specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 (1.6GHz, 4MBL2, 800MHzFSB)
Genuine Windows Vista Ultimate
12.1 inches TMD Ultralight XGA TFT (1024x768)
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
2GB PC2-5300DDR2 SDRAM
160GB, 5400rpm Serial ATA;
USB 2.0 Portable 80GB Hard Drive
USB 2.0 Super Multi-Burner
Bluetooth Version 2.0 + EDR, Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
Cingular
8 Cell Lithium-Ion Battery
Executive Class support - Three years parts and labor (system battery: one year) - Onsite Repair

There's more info and pictures here: LINK

It's brand spankin new, but the Lenovo box inside has nothing sealing it so I was able to take pictures.

Asking price is $3700 OBO + shipping.

Maybe most importantly is my seller feedback: http://myworld.ebay.com/orbital41

I can accept Paypal or a money order.

Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions!

NICE! Sorry to change subject, but how did you win it? -plus a free bump -

MODERATOR EDIT: Removed the full quote, as it wasn't necessary.

I won it from NotebookReview, it was just a random contest that I entered, not thinking much about it!

For a system at this price level I think that people here would like to see personal photos instead of Lenovo's web site. :)

Sure thing, I'll upload them to a site and then include links.

tinypic.com is both fast and free to use.

Thanks! And congratulations on winning it in the first place! I too registered for the contest (not that I need another Thinkpad).

Thanks Ray! And Erik thanks for the link. I added pics to the original post if anybody wants to see them. There's nothing sealing the Lenovo box shut so I felt free to take pics. It's a brand spanking new puter though, waiting to be powered up for the first time.

I've also seen on other forums that it's nice to provide heatware/ebay IDs. My ebay username is orbital41 for those interested.

I really don't understand the hype surrounding the Thinkpad "Reserve" edition. Stripped the leather cover, it is an X61 no more no less.
I doubt if Lenovo has ever sold 10 of these since the release day.
I did not mean to rain on your parade but I think it is better for you to keep it because $4500 for an X61 is a little bit too high. Second, it is more like a memorable thinkpad in your possession because chance that you are willing to fork $5000 to buy this is nonexistence.

While everyone is entitled to their opinions, the middle of his marketplace thread is not the place to air them when it serves no purpose. Knock it off.

And to the seller, looking at the pictures, it's a bit disingenuous to describe this as unopened. I believe the correct description is that the seal on the notebook itself has not been broken.

I understood that the box was open.

wasn't it against contest rules to sell this unit?

you bring up a good point and happen to be correct.

the admin/moderation team has discussed this issue and decided to return this ad to the marketplace.   if we hear otherwise from lenovo then we will pull it again.

please keep all posts from here on out on-topic.   if your question/comment is not about the sale itself then it will be edited or removed as necessary per our forum's policies.

thank you for your cooperation.   now, on with the sale. :)
