SOLD! Sony VAIO FS, 15.4", 80gb hdd, 1gb ram, xp, $600,

Hi everyone,

I am selling my personal desk machine, a VAIO fs-690p. Wonderful machine, and the xbrite screen here easily makes my T60 green with envy. Yeah, this screen is bright at around 300nits!

Anyways, it has absolutely no scratches of any sort, lcd is bright and free from marks, and because this machine has bee with an external keyboard from day 1, it has none of that shine either. Simply put, it looks new. Not practically new, just new.

With that said, here are the specs.

Centrino with intel abg card, 1.73GHz pentium m processor, I believe of the sonoma flavor.

1gb pc-2700 ddr2 ram, though I have seen this machine running nicely on T40 ram of 2gb ddr2 size!

80gb, 7200rpm seagate hdd. Fast and spacious.

128mb nvidia discrete graphics card for powering up all that good video stuff

cd-rw/dvd rom drive

Its running a factory install of XP PRO (recovery partition intact and confirmed workign just fine), comes complete with multimedia software through vaio, photoshop 7, matlab 7 and office 2007.

carrying case, all original packaging if desired.

Price Im very happy with is $600 shipped anywhere in the contigious usa, but if this price is not good for you, please dont reply with how bad of a price this is and how cheap computers are going for at black friday. Send me an offer instead and Ill see what I can do.

Thanks, and if anyone needs credentials on my business here on the board, just let me know!

Happy holidays!

Can you double-check that? PC-2700 is a common DDR speed (no PC-2700 DDR2 sticks exist to my knowledge), and T40 used DDR RAM. The first T series machine to use DDR2 was T43.

Also, is that a single 1 GB stick, or two 512 MB sticks?

haha.... maybe youre right about that one. I just picked up some ram for my T60 and all this talk about ddr2 gets to my head. Well, I know I tried the T40 ram, 2gb and the computer just sang! I forgot what kind it was though...
