I have a 30GB IBM/Travelstar hard (Model IC25N030ATCS04-0) drive that is giving me SMART errors when using IBM's Hard Drive fitness test.

Here are the specs of the same drive on geeks.com

As with the Seagate drive that I have listed here, it appears to work just fine when I load XP on it. I get no errors within Windows.

I am hoping to get $20 shipped for this, in the CONUS, via regular USPS mail. I MIGHT consider shipping outside the US, depending on the longevity and status of the member that is asking.

This drive will also come freshly formatted using KILLDISK for DOS v. 4.1.

How much use is there on this HDD? Hours, years, etc.

How serious are the SMART errors?

Thanks for your inquiry...

I don't know the entire history on this drive. I bought it with several other drives a while back. I had XP installed on it in my X20 for about 6 months without any problems. I was actually going to sell it, thinking that it was a good drive. I didn't know about the errors until I just ran DFT.

As for the age of the drive, it says that it was manufactured March 2002.
