WTB:Laptop hard drive-IDE

#1 Post by SaberX » Wed Nov 28, 2007 3:05 pm

I'm thinking about upgrading the 40gig/4200rpm drive in my X30 to somthing bigger and faster.

Like to get a 7200 rpm drive with wattenty left. Will look at 5400 ones too.
Nothing to big or $$$.

Just want something to make it worth while to upgrade from the 40/4200 i have now.

Sorry I don't have any drive for you but would highly recommend moving to a 7200RPM instead of the 5400RPM ones.

Thanks
I was thinking of something like a 60 or 80 gig 7200rpm.
But if a good deal on a big 5400 rpm drive(100+ gig's) shows up i would look at it.
But the 60 or 80 7200 would be ideal.
Newegg.com has them for a good price new BUT dont ship to Canada.
A new 100gig 7200rpm drive here in my town is selling for $179.99 + 14% tax.Almost 200.00 .
