How much you looking for?

Oops sorry...Well, I was hoping for offers on it. I can also upgrade it even further with a Core 2 Duo processor, bigger HD, more RAM, but what can't just be upgraded is the most important thing of all. The screen. Full 15" SXGA+ high-resolution display with IPS. Not only beautiful to look at but it's easy on the eyes!
Let me know what you think?
Admin Edit: Please refer to the rules for this forum. You really should post a price for any for sale item!
Oh, and it comes with a high-capacity 9-cell battery, too. And I can throw another 9-cell in that I just got, so it's virtually brand new and also still under warranty (batteries carry 1-year warranty).

You should state what you want out of it or you will get ridiculously low offers.

Alright alright alright lol...Model 2623-CTO, most closely related to the 2623-DDU, except it has an 15" SXGA+ IPS Flexview screen.
One person offered me $1,200 and I respectfully declined. Somewhere in the $1,500 range. I can sell it for around $2k if I upgrade with a T7600 (Core 2 Duo @ 2.33GHz per core) processor, and a 200GB 7,200rpm hard drive. I'm not in a hurry to sell it. Battery cycle count is only 23, as I mainly used it as a desktop replacement unit. It didn't travel much at all, so I didn't use the battery very much, and only had it for a few months.

That's kinda interesting because this is what Lenovo's site gives as a reply to 2623-CTO:
Product not found
No products match '2623CTO'.

Well, that's because CTO means Configure To Order.

Without doing the
Parts Lookup through machine type and Serial number, one wouldn't find anything on CTO models, so far atleast.

OK, I guess I haven't expressed myself properly, let's try this again:
I know what "CTO" means. However, when you put in "2373-CTO" it gives you "T40 customer configured" or something like that, while the option above gives you absolutely nothing.
The part of the description that doesn't make sense to me is the following:the base model of 2623-DDU is a full-blown T60p with UXGA, meanwhile OP states his machine is SXGA+...
Could one possibly downgrade LCD on a T60p series machine? I know for a fact that this was not an option on any of the previous "p" models.
What gives?

My 6365-CTO machine comes up on Lenovo. It's not too specific, but it's there.

Whooops. I totally neglected my thread here. Sorry guys. First time seller on here. So I set a price of $1,500. Shipped! Insured! LOL...So it is basically the 2623-DDU, with the exception being that it is SXGA+. It has the high-end FireGL video w/256MB, WWAN, 2GB of RAM, and the display is a PERFECT 15" SXGA+ IPS Flexview with high density and wide viewing angle. Warrantied worldwide until late 2009. Not ONE dead pixel on this beautiful screen. No scratches of any kind. It was never used to travel with, but rather a desktop replacement unit, plus I baby my Thinkpads, so every last component works perfectly. I ran PC-Doctor 5 on it just to make sure and it passed with a perfect score.

the LCD was not downgraded. the SXGA+ IPS display was the only option available on the most recent batch of 15" T60p CTO configurations, and
that's a fact.
edit: i should add that i created a quote on lenovo.com for a 15" SXGA+ CTO T60p about six months ago, so i know first-hand that they were available. i was going to buy one and convert it to UXGA.

Thanks for clearing that issue for me, Erik. Now it does make sense...to some degree.
Good luck with the sale, Crunch.
Price lowered to $1,399

Alright folks, I'll take a Bejamin Franklin off. Just checked ebay, and currently there are not even ANY T60 series Thinkpads with IPS Flexview LCD's available, not in ANY resolution.
Again, this baby has been taken care of extremely well. It was mostly stationary, no scratches, immaculate condition, and the warranty is valid until late 2009!
Once you get your first IPS Flexview display, you'll likely never go back to anything else. I can also upgrade the CPU up to a T7600 Core 2 Duo, install a bigger hard drive, configure a dual-boot with XP and Vista, or simply do one or the other, whichever you prefer.
Any questions? Please PM me.

Thanks for looking!

would you mind posting pictures of the actual machine

Nope, I wouldn't mind at all. Good idea, as it still has the sticker on the top cover (low left corner). I will have to resort to my Treo 750's lousy 1.3MP camera, although my mom has an 8.1MP brand new one she just got. Where are you located?

Im located in Chicago

Chicago...Your first name wouldn't happen to start with a "D", would it? lol...
Anyway, I'll ask my mom later on to take some actual pictures of the machine. Thanks for your interest.
