I have this ThinkPad 600X 2645-5EU ...
P-III 500Mhz
64 onboard ram
13.3" LCD,it has the red tint to it and alittle dim.A new backlight or another LCD would be great.....

I put in a MiniPCI Dell wireless "B" card in it and just put the antennas under the keyboard.Not the best but it works.
Has a 20 gig hard drive.
No errors on startup.
Battery sucks....Dont hold any charge.
Over all shape of this 600X is great.Keyboard is nice with just alittle shine,not much.
It has all the covers except the top part of the pcmcia slot,bottom slot is there but the top one is not.
I also have a intel Pro PCMCIA flush mount 10/100 card in the side.(no dongle)

I'm not realy sure what to ask for a price where it has a red tint to the lcd.But i'll put a price of $70.00 + what ever the shipping is...BUT please let me know if you think this is fair price.
I'll get some pic's of it tomorow....

Things i'm looking for in part trade ...
-X30 palm rest in good shape.The X31/32 is diffrent.
-PATA (IDE)7200rpm laptop hard drive
-512 pc-133 laptop ram
-X30 extra battery that connects to the bottom dock connector.
-external dvd-rw burner,eather slimline or big 5.25 drive.

Oh ya shipping is from Canada and this time of year it may take alittle longer...

I am curious as to where a Minipci card would be installed in a 600 series.

Just remove the modem and install a minipci wifi card.

If you have a 600X, this not applies to 600/600E

Thanks.

From what i understand only the 600X has the miniPCI slot.It's on the bottom just under the top right side.Under the 56K plug is.
Ray has some nice pic's on his web site about the 600X and adding a external antenna for a wireless card.

So it looks like my price of 70.00 was a bit much with the week backlight.
But i have a buyer outside this forum stoping by my place tomorow with 50.00 for it.
If they dont show up to buy it i'll repost it and this time i may just sell it in parts.
