T500(daughter), X301 (wife's), X200 (all mine's)

LOL...now I know why we're getting threads with 'can I use a 56 watt AC adapter for this or that machine'. :) Nice price on the adapter.

Ok, to make you giggle one more time, can I use the 56watt with my T40/T42?

No, not safely. But you can, if you want to take a risk.

My mistake, I thought the 90 watt would work. But not on sale anymore.

I have bought a few of these: Ebay link. Had a good experience both times I bought from him.

Take a risk,,,,,take a risk.......huh!!!!! It has taken me a full year to upgrade from my A series stuff to the T series. Next to my audiophile stuff these puppies get bathed and powdered weekly......

T42's use a 72 watt, 16V, 4.5A AC adapter. FRU 02K6753

I don't recommend it for normal users but I have been using a 56W ac adapter with my T42 for years. No smoke coming out yet. Oh with 56W you don't want to play 3D games while charging battery at the same time.
