What's it worth? I would like to sell my T42.

ThinkPad T42, Model 2379-DXU

Original description: Pentium M 735 (1.7GHz Dothan), 512MB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm HDD, 15" FlexView IPS SXGA+ (1400x1050) TFT LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon 9600, 24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD, Intel 802.11b/g wireless (MPCI), Bluetooth/Modem (CDC), 1Gb Ethernet (LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, 6 cell Li-Ion battery, WinXP Pro, AC Adapter

--> Memory upgraded to 1GB (PC2700 512MB X 2)

Absolutely mint condition with original IBM three year warranty expiring in June 2008.

IBM just replaced the LCD (perfect), keyboard and palmrest/keyboard bezel/touchpad under warranty.

This unit is gorgeous. I haven't seen any models like this sell in a while, any suggestions on pricing?

My guess, coming from your stable, with new LCD and warranty remaining, would be somewhere in $575-$600 ballpark. These are very fine machines indeed.

I was thinking $500-$600. It is tough to gauge due to all the incentives on new Lenovo machines at the present.

Anyway, I think a local acquaintance is going to grab it before I can even post it.

I'm only selling it because I found a similarly spec'd T60 that I couldn't resist.

UPDATE: SOLD LOCALLY!

Why?

What is gorgeous?

Why? LCD, because of dim backlight; keyboard and touchpad/bezel, because of wear.

Gorgeous? From www.webster.com --> splendidly or showily brilliant or magnificent
