I just bought a broken T43 from a friend. i fixed it up and it is fully functional. however, the laptop does not come with a serial number sticker or a model number sticker.

Can i sell it here?

Sure, as long as it is not stolen and as long as you are up front about the missing stickers it's not an issue. The serial number can be obtained from BIOS by the way, as long as it has the original systemboard.

There could be several reasons why the base does not have the type and serial number sticker/bar code. However, that information is/should also be visible in the BIOS setup screen (and there's also a couple of reasons why it wouldn't be there too).

Just as an FYI: Some people remove those stickers for a variety of reasons...

1. They think that it will prevent someone from stealing it, as they will have possession of the serial number, et al.

2. They think that the stickers have a value.

3. Some people are VERY OCD, and don't like ANY stickers on their laptops at all.

Those are just the ones that I have heard as reasons...
