Hi all,

I decided to give one of my Thinkpads to a relative. But before I do, I will downgrade it back to the original 1.6GHz.

I pulled the Dothan 2.0GHz processor I had installed a while ago and have decided to sell it. Going price on ebay is about $125 before shipping. I paid more than that when I bought this one, so I have to ask $122... firm. The processor is in perfect condition, runs great and has given me zero problems. I'm an engineer, so this processor has been handled with a static safe strap from the get go!

Due to no local responses, I'm dropping the "local only" condition. I think what I'm asking is a "fair price", so I'll accept personal checks for $125 (shipped) to US by Priority Mail. The check must clear before shipment. I guess if there are no takers, then I'll just hold on to it. Thanks!

Edited again... Sorry, my post wasn't clear enough... I will only ship to US.

If you're interested, please pm me.

Aloha,
makai

I've installed Pentium M 755 on a T41 and they are all same B1 stepping so it should work. Mine only needed a BIOS update.

I can't vouce for it working in a T40 as I never tried installing a Dothan in one.

However, it will work in a T41, and T42. In fact, the T42's were built with Dothan processors and I believe (I may be wrong), that the only major difference between a T41 and T42 is the fact that T41's use Banias and T42's use Dothans.

Yes it will work, i did this upgrade on a T40, from banias 1.5 to dothan 1.8 and then to dothan 2.10ghz.

It worked perfectly.
