LF: One t60 screw

#1 Post by AvalonXIII » Sat Dec 22, 2007 6:54 pm

I sent my machine for warranty repair and Lenovo left out a screw from the bottom of the laptop :? It is the long screw where you take off to replace the ram. If anybody has a spare one from a screw kit and is willing to send me one, i'll gladly pay for the shipping. Thanks in advance.

The T60 has a couple of holes on the bottom where there are no screws. Don't worry about it.
PLEASE DO NOT PM
My handheld device can not access PM's and I will not respond.

yes, i know that there are several holes where there are no screw, like the ones with the little drop symbol on them. However, I can physically move a screw from another location and fit it into the hole, so I think they really miss it :?

If you just got it back from servicing, call IBM and they will send you a screw kit.

haha, i would call them if my machine wasn't out of warranty after it is repaired. I don't think they'll believe me that there's a screw missing.

Is a free screw not worth the effort it takes to make a phone call?

It seems worth a shot. You never know.

Seeing as there aren't too many "parts" machines in the T6x series, with them being so new, I would also suggest calling them...after all it is only a screw. They will most likely send you one. If you have to, point them to this thread.
