Reduced: $59 each free shipping to the continental United States, HI and AK (actual shipping cost to all other international locations), payable with non-CC paypal, money order or personal check. Thank you.

You can check my reference on eB*y by going here.

Update: Since I've been getting a lot of questions about compatibility... These multiburners will not fit into a T series ThinkPad (T4x, T6x) or the X6 UltraBase, both of which uses an Ultrabay Slim slot (9.5mm). The multiburner you need for the T series and the X6 UltraBase is the Ultrabay Slim drive, the model number is 40Y8623 per Tabook. Please refer to Tabook and double check for yourself the correct model number you need for your T or X series ThinkPad. Thank you.

Its a shame you don't ship internationally... :(

Actually I'd better confirm - do you ship internationally?
Its just that ebay link specifically states that you do not.

I will ship internationally to confirmed addresses and buyer pays for the actual shipping rate.

Shipping internationally requires a declaration form to be filled out with the shipper (e.g. UPS, Fedex, or USPS) and a declared value for the item.

The only reason I'm making this known is because when you receive the package you may be asked to pay some kind of tax based on the declared value (a percentage, perhaps) before you can take delivery of the package.

I sold an iPod Nano once and shipped it to Nova Scotia, Canada, and the receiver had to pay a tax based on the declared value. I didn't know about this and it was not a smooth transaction but we worked it out. So this is the reason I prefer transactions within the USA, or even better, in-person local transactions. Sorry for the long reply, hope you understand my point.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

These multi burners are new. They were pulled from a corporate fleet of brand new ThinkPad R61's. This corporate fleet of R61's were purchased directly from Lenovo at the end of 2007. After the R61's arrived, the multi dvd burners were pulled out of each system and the systems were then prepared for various deployments.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

Just to be clear, these multi burners are not refurbished. They came with brand new ThinkPad R61's, which were also not refurbished, that were ordered directly from Lenovo.

Thanks.

u0330v,

Please check your message box for my private message. I am hoping you have both the 9.5mm and 12.7mm height DVD burners! I need one or the other! Lenovo website DVD burner model is 41N5643! It shows it to be the 9.5mm.

Looking forward to your reply!

Harry

The Z61t (9443) uses an Ultrabay Slim optical drive that measures 9.5 mm with a flat bezel, which is the same optical drive (spec-wise) that the T series use. The Ultrabay Enhanced drive will not fit your Z61t (9443-xxx). You need an Ultrabay Slim DVD burner. Thanks.

Thank you, ajkula66, for answering the question, your are correct.

The T2x and T30 (I believe) use the Ultrabay 2000 drives which have dimensions of:

Height: 0.56 inches (14.2 mm)
Width: 5.13 inches (130.4 mm)
Depth: 5.68 inches (144.3 mm)

See here for more information.

it works

Hello,

2 adapter type exist:

ultrabay slim to ultrabay 2000
ultrabay enh. to ultrabay 2000,

so the new drives can be uses in old Thinkpads with ultrabay 2000 slots

I didn't know that, thank you for pointing it out.

Here's the information for the Ultrabay Slim Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000 and the Ultrabay Enhanced Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000 from ThinkWiki.

Ultrabay Slim Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000
This adapter allows the installation of Ultrabay Slim optical drives in Ultrabay 2000 or Ultrabay Plus bays.

Ultrabay Enhanced Drive Adapter for Ultrabay 2000
This adapter allows the installation of Ultrabay Enhanced optical drives in Ultrabay 2000 or Ultrabay Plus bays.

More importantly, please visit the Lenovo Support pages for full details on these two adapters, including the Hardware Compatibility tables, Here and Here.

Practically speaking, though, it's more economical to simply buy an Ultrabay 2000 or Ultrabay Plus optical drive for your T2x or T30 than buying an adapter (~$65) + an Ultrabay Enhanced drive ($69 my price). But you're more than welcome to make a purchase from me  .
