I have a X41 tablet here. I paid $1200 new for this machine just 3 months ago, so I hope you can understand that I'm already losing near half of my investment in the machine.
Model #: 1869-csu
Original description: P M 778(1.6GHz)LV, 512MB RAM, 60GB 4200rpm HD, 12.1in 1024x768 LCD, Intel 900, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 8c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Tablet 2005
Warranty until: August 9, 2009
Still have the original box, with all acessories, NMB keyboard, factory recovery partition still intact.
As you can see, everything is maxed out. I upgraded ram to 1GB total.
The only known problem is that the LCD has 2 pressure marks the size of a dime each.
I'm looking to get around $599+actual shipping cost. I accept paypal as a payment method. Continental US buyer only please. I can possibly ship to Canada, but shipping cost will be more, naturally.
Here is a few pictures of the two pressure marks. You can see that they are very dim:

The first of the 3 picture links shows them pretty well...

Oh I thought that was part of the background image...

The first seems to be the cloud of the wallpaper, not the pressure marks.
I PMed him to make sure that I was correct.

I answered XIII through PM but I'll answer it here as well. The whole band of white on the wallpaper is actually the cloud, and it is a part of the wallpaper. The two bright spots, as you can see, is very dim on the second and third pic of the screen. I will upload another picture of desktop with a different wallpaper to avoid confusion. The pressure marks only appear (very dimly) on white or light color surfaces, so if you are checking out the picture of the desktop, the spots "disappear".

As I'm not very familiar with customs of other countries, I'll have to keep this sale within continental US only, sorry.

My bad...I could see them in the other 2, so should have pointed those out.

I'm struggling to find those pressure marks :S
What are they anyway? Does the tablet recognize all the strokes of the stylus properly with no interference? Does it recognize the stylus on those pressure marks? Also, is it fixable under the IBM warranty?
Cheers

There are NO obstacle to using the touch screen AT ALL. I can still move the digitizer to the two pressure marks and when I click on buttons in those areas, they still respond properly. This is simply a viewing issue, and even at that, it is not a bother at all, since the marks are very very dim.
