How small -- and what sort of spec? I have a couple of TP240s that I am not using.

By small I mean around 15" and not too heavy.
Am I right that this is the TP240 you have?

Yes, but my TP240s are a 300MHz and 400MHz.

If you want a 15" -- I presume you mean 15" screen -- that's not small. The 240 has a 10.5" screen with 800 x 600 resolution. I love the 240, but for many people it is just too small and too slow.

If you want a bigger screen with not much extra weight then the X20-X24 series with a 12" might suit. You could certainly get one for under £130. Or go for a T20-T23 with a 14" screen if you want a built in CD drive and you don't mind the extra weight.

TPs with 15" screen (A G or R series) tend to be built like tanks with weight to match. Not the sort of machine I like at all.

Thanks for your recommendations. I am looking at a T32 online for £180.00. Do you know where I can a little less?

T32? You probably mean T23, since there is no T32 to my knowledge. As for the price, it depends on the extras (CPU, RAM, optical drive) and can vary widely. If I were you, I'd follow the Ebay prices for a while to get a feel for what is reasonable.

Sorry, yes I meant T23.

Thanks I'll keep an eye on eBay.

SterlingXS have a couple of very cheap T23s here:

I have no connection with SterlingXS and I have never bought anything from them so please don't construe this as a recommendation. I just thought you might find the price / specification / condition balance interesting. (The crack on the front left of the casing is quite common in T20-T23 machines. Both of mine have that feature. I am quite happy with a small piece of black electrical insulation tape over the crack to hide it.)

Hi,

What size hard drive do they have, and is it easy to upgrade to 60/80 GB.

Check out my thread, I have a T42, T20, A31. Hopefully one of those should meet the specs you are looking for. AFAIK they are the cheapest prices I have seen on this site. I just saw an A31 sell for $650 that didn't even have the original parts in it, and T42s for just under that. Quick summary: T42 w/warranty $350, A31 $220, T20 $100. I price them extremely low just to get rid of them, I'm not looking to make a lot of money, just to clean up my house and do the things I like to do.
