Sold: IBM Bluetooth II Modem Combo CDC BMDC200 FRU: 91P7315, working pull from ThinkPad plus correct clear plates (front and back of LCD) with Bluetooth icons for T42 model ThinkPad!

If your T42 doesn't already have a third available antenna, you will need to 1) buy another antenna, or 2) use one of the antenna leads from your wifi adapter, the wifi adapter does not require both.

(Note: The T42 actually came with the BMDC200 Rev. B, which is know as the Bluetooth III Modem combo. Either the BTII or BTIII modules will work in any T40, T41 or T42 - the drivers are the same, see below.)


This combo CDC adapter will work in MANY ThinkPads. (You will need an antenna and clear plates for upgrading non-BT TP's - some people use the AUX wifi antenna for BT - it works great.)

It works in all TP's that called for either the BT II or BT III CDC adapter. For instance this card was the default for a T41, but works fine in a T40 or T41 or T42 - BT II and BT III use the same installer package from Lenovo.

- (*1) Only Windows 2000 and Windows XP are supported.
- (*2) Machine Type 2883, 2887, 2888, 2889, 2894 and 2895 of ThinkPad R51 family are not supported.
