I finally decided to sell off my T42p since the X40 seems to be sufficient for most mobile needs that I have. Here are the specs:
1. Intel Pentium M 1.8GHz processor (Dothan)
2. 1GB of DDR RAM (2x512)
3. 80GB hard disk
4. ATI FireGL2 video card with 128MB of dedicated video RAM
5. 15in 1600x1200 Flexview screen in excellent condition - no scratches or dead pixels
6. DVDRW/CDRW drive
7. Intel wireless card (enables Centrino logo) + bluetooth + infrared
8. Gigabit ethernet, vga, sound, parallel, 2xUSB, etc
9. 6-cell battery holds charge for 1.5 hours or so
10. Fully legit Windows XP Pro SP2 with current updates installed
11. docking station/port replicator included + power brick
There is a little bit of normal wear on corners of plastic casing and outer screen lid cover. Warranty has expired a few months back. Aside from that everything is working great and the condition is excellent. Keyboard is like new.
Looking for $580 for all (laptop, docking station, power supply) including shipping on CONUS. Or make me a reasonable offer.

Note: in second pic the white dot in left part of the screen close to middle is the mouse cursor.
