For Sale: Thinkpad T21 2647-97G.

Original description: PIII 850MHz (256KB), 128MB RAM, 32.0GB HDD, 14.1 TFT 1400x1050, 8x-2.3x DVD, Modem, TV out, Li-Ion Battery, Win2000

Current specs:

PIII 850MHz CPU
128MB Ram
40 GB 5400 RPM HD
14.1 SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 LCD
DVD Drive
Atheros b/g Internal WiFi 108mbps
Battery (in good condition, runs for an hour or so).
Windows XP Pro
MS Office
3.3A Non-IBM AC Adapter
Port Replicator

Known issues: The ethernet port and modem do not work, most likely due to the WiFi card installed in their place, but I don't have an Ethernet/modem mPCI card so I can't test it. I have installed an Intel flush mount PCMCIA ethernet card instead. The keyboard is in really nice condition with slight lettering wear on the A, S, E, and N keys(letters are still clearly visible). There are some light scratches on the LCD lid. The backlight is brand new and the display looks beautiful, but there is a slight backlight leakage on the right bottom of the LCD that does not effect the quality of it. There are (2) pressure marks, each no larger than a pencil point at the very bottom of the LCD. They really don't bother the user at all, but I thought I'd mention them for completeness. There is no red tint, no dead pixels and no scratches on the LCD. The IBM sticker on the bottom of the unit is scratched (but the lettering is visible)and the serial # tag is missing, but available in BIOS. The internal wireless antennae are not in the LCD , but rather wired underneath the palm rest.

It is a nice little T21 and would make a great backup machine. Overall I'd rate it at 8.5 out of 10. If you need to see a picture or two I can email them to you. It does not come with any type of installation CD's.

I really thought this one would go almost instantly. Ok, lets throw in a T2X port replicator P/N 02K8668 for the same price.

I really hated to do this since it's such a nice machine, but these T2X's seem to be a tough sell here. Now parting out, see my other marketplace thread on T2X and Misc Parts for sale, coming up shortly. Now parting out this machine.
