FS: Thinkpad X61 - $850

#1 Post by thinkpadmba » Mon Jan 21, 2008 11:39 pm

Sorry, had a family emergency so have to try selling again. First person to shoot me a pm gets it. Thanks.

This sale is for the Thinkpad Model X61 (76757KU). I purchased this last June but decided I want to try another laptop brand. The machine is in excellent condition except for very minor wear. The machine was used mostly at home and there is not a single scratch on the casing. Even the corners of the rubberized lid are in perfect condition. The screen was protected with a screen protector since day so there are no dead pixels or scratches on the screen. Warranty is until 2008-05-28. A picture is available upon request. DOES NOT come with ultrabase and the dvdrw drive (will be sold separately). Asking $ 850 shipped.

Below are the specs:

Brand ThinkPad X Series
Model X61 (76757KU)
Part# 76757KU
Operating System Windows Vista Business
CPU Type Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 (2.00GHz)
Screen 12.1" XGA
Memory Size 1GB DDR2
Hard Disk 120GB
Graphics Card Intel GMA X3100
Card Reader SD Memory Card
Battery 4-cell lithium ion
Manufacturer Warranty
Parts 1 year limited
Labor 1 year limited

Hi and thanks for the post; just a few questions.

1.: Is this system a 1.8 or 2.5 " HDD?

2.: Did you buy direct from IBM or?

3.: IBM's machine type configuration for the number you specified doesn't list a 120GB HDD. Was this a special request when you purchased or did you upgrade it yourself?

Thank you.

the 7675-7KU is configured from the factory with a 120GB 5400RPM 2.5" SATA HDD.   please see this page at ibm.com for reference.

Ooops, 'mea culpa'- correction on #3: I checked, and I read too fast; it does list a 120 gb 5400rpm hdd.

#1 still stands though; is it a 1.8" or 2.5" hdd?

Thanks.

the only thinkpads that use 1.8" PATA drives are the X4x-series.   all X6x series use 2.5" SATA drives.

thanks Erik.
I tend to scan messages, since I'm not supposed to be 'browsing' on company network.
I'm considering making a counteroffer.

FWIW, shipping to europe or malasia is easy..
only thing is you need to have good funds BEFORE shipping..
good funds is usually a bank wire..

i too was screwed on a sale to a scam artist in jakarta..
i beat him but it still cost me shipping back..
point is, don't take a credit card..
ONLY a bank wire..
