What do I mean by "fully restored":
- new motherboard
- new LCD
- new plastics (palmrest, keyboard...)
- new HDD
- fresh factory install of Windows XP
All of the above has been performed by EZ Serv yesterday (01/21/2008), and I have the paperwork to prove it.
The laptop is covered by IBM warranty through November of this year.
Needless to say, this is as close to new as any A31p will come, almost five years after the production has ended. The only part that shows some wear is the LCD cover (lid), and it is still in above average condition.
Unless you can find a machine that has never been turned on, your chances of owning an A31p in better shape than this one are slim to none. I'm perfectly serious when I say "museum quality".
The price:
I've been selling good through excellent A31p machines anywhere from $400 to $550 lately, and have sold quite a few of them at these prices.
Asking price for this one is $650. I may consider a partial trade for a 15" T43 or T43p, and add $$$ in the process (this applies to T43p only).
I'll be glad to ship this laptop anywhere a fellow A31p buff is willing to pay for it to arrive.
Why aren't you keeping this one for yourself?
Because I happen to have another machine from the same batch that has been similarly treated by kind people of IBM...
