LF and WTB Downgrade cds for xp pro

I am looking for downgrade cds, from vista business to xp pro for an 8891cto, have heard they are available but not sure if they require the serial number to use. please advise or send pm. TIA

The downgrade CD's are simply a recovery CD set.
I have not personally installed XP on a ThinkPad that came with Vista so I can't speak from experience. Others here have and from what they have said is that no serial number is required.

call 800-IBM-SERV and tell them you're having problems with vista and want to get a set of XP recovery CDs. if you plead your case correctly then they should send them for free. i know for a fact that recent vista-equipped thinkpads have included the XP CDs in the box, giving you a valid argument to get a set of your own at no charge.

I haven't had success getting the XP discs.
Maybe others have.
