This is a great machine

I'm selling this machine because I just got a T60 for Christmas and can't really get rid of the T60 because its a gift.

The Specs for the T61 for sale are:

766416U:

T7300(2GHz), 120GB 5400rpm HD, 14.1in 1440x900 LCD, 128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M, CDRW/DVDRW, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, Intel Turbo Memory, 6c Li-Ion, WinVista Business

The machine is practically brand new. I've only used it at home since I bought it. I still have the box and all documentation plus a set of recovery DVD's.

The machine is covered under warranty until 5/24/2010.

It has also been updated to 2GB of Ram from the 1GB original.

Pics are available on request.

PM me if you have any questions or interests.

This is a great machine for school or work, I'm only asking for $1230 shipped. Check or money order is preferred but Paypal is accepted also ($50 price break for check or money order).

Wow, no replies at all. Bump for the weekend and it needs to go so for a price break $1130 OBO.

I think you have identified the problem, though perhaps not solved it yet. I'm a newbie here and don't know what the market will bear, but take a look at justin216's ad for a T61 with mini-dock. Your potential buyers certainly have.

Hopefully the last bump. A price drop to $1000, plus actual shipping costs. This machine is in excellent condition and still has 2 years of warranty.

Welcome to the forum, JP!

Having done a little business here, I think it's a buyer's market. Most ThinkPad fans already have machines they like, so you have to sell to people who know what a bargain is. Of course there are exceptions.

But I think you won't get top dollar here. My first choice when money is key is my personal network, then Craig's List, then eBay. This is a fine place to get rid of something quick at a slightly reduced price.

Best of luck, though!

That's not exactly the same. Your lenovo.com laptop only has WXGA, smaller battery and combo drive - no DVDRW. There might be other differences too but that's what I noticed while taking a quick look.
