I am thinking about trading this unit in for a T42. How much do you guys think it worth?

I brought a T40 off of ebay same exact specs as your, only difference is mine is 1.5ghz. This was at the end of the summer for $1200. Hopes this gives you a price range. I think mine was a decent deal i'm not sure what they normally go for.

For a different alternative, figure your net cost (New T42 less expected T40 sale price), and compare that to upgrading your T40 with a 1.8 GHz Dothan and a 60 Gb super fast 7200-rpm hard drive. You have enough memory. That will make a svelte T40 for about $550 or so. ... JDHurst

I can offer $1000 for it. I know it's low, but that's all I have right now
