Long time lurker, first time poster. Please bear with me and any advice is welcome! :D

I just picked up a new T61p as my office workhorse and must retire my dearly loved T41. Sad to see it go, but someone else could use it, where it'd collect dust in my closet. Here's the specs:

Model: Thinkpad T41 Type 2323-9FU
CPU: Intel Pentium M Centrino 1.7Ghz
Screen: SXGA LCD (1400x1050)
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon 9000
Memory: 512MB
Hard Drive: 60 GB
Optical Drive: CDRW-DVD
Network: Intel 10/100
Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG
2 x PCMCIA slots
Windows XP Pro and Office 2003

One quirk is the LCD backlight shuts itself off. I fix this by resseting the display scheme via the ThinkPad software utility. I think someone more ThinkPad savy could fix the quirk easily.

Also comes with ThinkPad Advanced Dock, a car power adaptor and a regular power adaptor (not shown in pics).

Price is $300 delivered via Paypal. Please email jimhodgson <at> gmail [dot] com. Thanks!

Does anyone know why the display is going off only on battery power and is revived using Presentation Manager?

Thanks for your help,
Ron

To add to Ron's question......the backlight is more susceptible to turning off while on battery power compared to wall power. Occasionally, the backlight will dim under wall power also.

Double check your BIOS settings such as the one for Screen Blanking.......etc.
