don't really know what I should ask for. It's in excellent condition. I always baby my Thinkpads. I'm the only owner (i.e., purchased new from IBM).

Asking price would depend on condition (pics will help immensely), specs and warranty (if any) remaining. Assuming it is all as you say it is, I think that something around the $450 mark (plus some more depending on the length of the warranty that may be remaining) would be reasonable. Alternatively, you could do a search in the Marketplace for recently sold T42s and go from there.

Those must be the best looking ad pictures in the marketplace forum.

You sure can take pictures that sell! Really good looking laptop you've got there.

Will you ship to Europe?

thanks for the compliments. The camera is a Canon 40D on a tripod (helps the most).

This particular T42 is my favorite thinkpad. If you do a search through the forums, I must have sent back 5 T42's back to IBM until I found the perfect one. No dead pixels. Better Samsung LCD, etc. The laptop will come with two batteries (6-cell and 9-cell). I'll update the post with that info later.

The keyboard shows no wear and tear, because I just replaced it with another Thai keyboard (again, I'm pretty OCD with my laptops).

yes, I'll ship to Europe, but the shipping is pretty expensive. Last time I check 3 years ago, it was close to $100 USD extra.

I just did a calculation on the USPS website for shipping to Finland on a 10lb parcel:

http://ircalc.usps.gov/IntlMailServices ... 0&O=0&sd=1

I know that many sellers who have used USPS to ship internationally and the sellers who received the items (of which I have been one) were pleased with their experiences.
