I recently received it from the original owner that I assisted with purchasing it with nearly six years ago. He is a co-worker. (He just replaced it with an R61!)

It was used in his home office for word processing and Internet, very sparingly over the years.

When I received it, the battery was near dead. I replaced the battery with a new one and did a few other upgrades to the stock machine, see below.

One major upgrade, I installed dual wifi antennas (behind LCD) and a Broadcom mini-pci b/g wireless adapter. It works great. Sleep mode and hibernate work perfectly, no errors at all.

The hard drive I used for the upgrade had an XP Pro service partition but the COA is for Windows 98. If you have a spare XP Pro license, feel free to use it as is, otherwise, you should completely reformat the drive.

Please review the pictures carefully, the only visible wear is the space bar. In the top cover picture, a reflection makes it look like there is a small scratch, it is not there, the cosmetics are near mint, no scratches, no dead pixels, etc.

GREAT basic machine! The price is $210 delivered in the U.S. ($220 if you'd like an IBM Port Replicator 02K8668).
