Yeah, yeah I know they are really rare and I'll be lucky to get one etc. But please if you have one of these 600x's I'm very keen. I have a 850mhz and I want to run it properly. I'm interested in motherboard, chassis or the whole computer. The ceiling of my budget is $180. So to repeat I REALLY need a 600x with the speedstep system board these are the 600x's with product code 9Fx or 5Fx. I might also consider part exchange with my souped up 600x 2645-5EG.
Many thanks.

Before you spend the cash, have you looked around this board about non speedstep to speedstep upgrades?
My 850Mhz upgraded 2646-8EU runs great without being a speedstep board with a small change to the CPU driver.
Runs full speed on mains..at 700 Mhz on battery.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I've played around lots with all the applets and bits and bobs to get the processor rocking at full speed. But its problematic having to do the fn+f8 to boot and my old 600x shuts down due to over-heating if I leave her on with the 850mhz inside her. I've read good things about the 650 boards so wanna give one a go. I made some money off some 600e repairs so I figure what the heck - spend some money on a fancy 650 board!

Also here a 600X that was born w/ a non speedstep processor but running perfectly with a 850mhz PIII speedstep enabled processor without any issues, no applets and no F8.
700mhz on battery
850mhz on AC
