Sharp 14" UXGA LCD (T4? upgrade!) SOLD SOLD SOLD

#1 Post by osse99 » Tue Feb 05, 2008 11:55 am

Hi!

I have a Sharp 14.1" UXGA, LQ141U1LH02 LCD for sale.

The display is used but in "as new" condition (i've tested it on my A31p and its really nice!)

I tried to upgrade my Dell 610 SXGA+ but failed and bought a T43 15" instead.

I can sell the LCD or swap it for a T4? 15" UXGA screen and UXGA-cable.

I paid 180$ for the LCD and would like to get my money back!

Search the forums for 14" T4? UXGA upgrades for more information!!!

Welcome to the forum!

Please post the asking price for the LCD that you're selling or offering for swap...

Out of sheer curiosity: how did you test a 14" LCD in an A31p?

Connecting the A31p's LCD cable and inverter to the 14.1" UXGA LCD?

Removed the 15", plugged the 14" in, used the original inverter and cable, never assembled it or moved it from the workbench.

Very nice picture, i really like the high dot/per inch ratio.

And I've found that this 14.1" UXGA panel is compatible with the R5* and T4*. So, I guess we've indirectly shown that the 15.0" UXGA-IPS panels of the A31p and of the R5*/T4* are interchangeable.

I agree it's a perfect pixel density and screen size. I don't like to lug around heavy laptops (anything >4 lbs), but this screen is so nice that I've actually traveled with my 5.01-lb T42 quite a few times.

PW, I noticed your T42 is a 2373B09 with a 64MB ATI Radeon 9600. Would this LCD work in a T42 with a 32MB ATI Radeon 7500?

Harry, 32 MB is good enough to drive UXGA. You'd need the right inverter and the adapter though.
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU

Rules of the road :thumbs-UP:

How is the condition?

If you post links of pics showing the condition you will sell it faster. :)

The LCD is used but the condition is "as new" = i can't find any scratches, dark spots or dead pixels.

I'll try to upload some pictures tonight (local time)
A20m, R30, A31P and T43!

A good thread on this mod

I used astavista babble fish to convert text. I couldnt do the whole page. There seems to be a lot of "hardware hacks" on this forum.

baisley, my original method documented in this thread is far simpler and less risky. And you don't need Babelfish.
