SOLD: 15" UXGA FlexView LCD $120 plus postage [PIX]

#1 Post by pianowizard » Thu Feb 07, 2008 8:25 am

Up for sale is a near-mint 15.0" UXGA (1600x1200) laptop LCD panel with the legendary Flexview (IPS) technology, which has much wider viewing angle, far better contrast and color reproduction than conventional LCDs. The super-high resolution offers an incredible working area of 1,920,000 pixels, which is 144% more than the most common type of laptop LCD (1024x768, or 786,432 pixels). The manufacturer is ID Tech, and the part numbers are 92P6683, 92P6672 and N150U3-L01. I don't see any dead or stuck pixels. This screen has only one, minor imperfection: At certain viewing angles, a ~1 cm2 area at the lower right corner looks a little uneven in brightness. But it's not obvious. (In the photos, you can see that all four corners are slightly darker. That's just an artifact caused by my very unprofessional photography.)

According to IBM's official publications, this UXGA panel is compatible with the 15.0" T series and R series, including the following models:

2373-AZx, HTx, HVx, HWx, HXx, HYx, KXx, KYx, KZx
2373-F4x, HBx, Qxx
2374-7Xx, HTx
2374-Q2x
2378-DYx, EZx
2378-RVx
2379-DYx, EZx
2379-RVx
1832-22x, 23x, 24x, 25x, 26x, 27x, 28x
1833-22x, 23x, 24x, 25x, 26x, 27x, 28x

Besides the above models, I know for sure that any 15.0" T4* with at least 64MB dedicated graphics can use this LCD, because I've tested it successfully on my T42, which has 64MB ATI Radeon 9600. Based on this thread, the R60e and R60 can also use this LCD. In addition, forum member clickpoint successfully installed a similar LCD on a 15.0" T42 with 32MB ATI Radeon 7500!

I am asking for $120 plus actual postage, and am willing to ship to the U.S., Canada and Europe. I accept non-CC PayPal.

Nice price from a trusted forum member.

I have seen these for nearly three times his asking price.

This will go quickly.
