I'm just been given a TP 2667-720 with no hard drive and, of course, no software of any kind.

I'm in Florida and hope someone has a cheap hard drive I can use to get the machine up and diagnosed.

Better yet, Anyone with an old 720 that works that wants to sell it mainly to give it a good home where it will only be used for some inside monitoring of safe ecological projects, please let me know if I can get it for shipping costs.

The ThinkPad 720 was one of the first ThinkPads released. The operating system it came with was IBM DOS 5.02.

You can test it by booting from a 3.5" floppy disk with just about any version of MS- or PC-DOS.

The hard drive is an ESDI type and almost impossible to find today.

Bottom line: you can buy another ThinkPad on eBay for $20-$30 that would be much easier to get going.
