I want to add the OEM fingerprinter reader to my t60. It has the chip already installed and its software, but no reader.
I totally overlooked that when I bought it online. It's a rare Flexview, so I have to add the reader as opposed to selling it, and buying one with the reader.

Could you elaborate what you mean by "the OEM fingerprint reader"?? Do you mean the Lenovo USB fingerprint reader?
If your T60 already has the fingerprint chip installed, then I believe that you could simply get the "Palm rest assembly with fingerprint reader" and swap that with your existing. For a 2007-series 14.1" T60 the "Palm rest assembly with fingerprint reader" FRU would be 42W3009 and for a 2007-series 15" T60 the FRU would be 42W3011 - according to ThinkPad T60 and T60p Hardware Maintenance Manual (page 136/137). If you order there FRU's directly from IBM - via their Maintenance Parts site they are around $100 (+S/H, I believe), so probably it is a bit a bit cheaper via eBay.
Other T60-series may have different FRU's; check the particular T60 HMM.
