Best price RAM for IBM 390x
Hi, could anyone tell me the most reasonable place to buy 256 or 512 RAM for a 390x, thanks and have a great day. Shobogirl2

You cannot buy a 512MB memory stick for the 390X.
As for 256MB, Viking sells one for $86 via Amazon. Kingston sells theirs for $200! IBM's goes for $159 and Crucial sells theirs for $114.
The part you want is a 144-pin PC100 non-parity SO-DIMM. They go on eBay for about $50-$60 used.
If you buy a used 256MB part, MAKE SURE IT HAS 16 CHIPS, as the high-density, 8-chip parts will not work.
